Department Announcements ![]() APPLICATIONS AND LETTERS OF INTENT DUE TUESDAY, FEB. 16, 2010IBMYP Applications for students new to the program and Letters of Intent for continuing IBMYP students are due to Godwin by 4pm on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Transfer forms are required for both new and continuing students. Please make sure there is a parent signature on the transfer form. Principal signatures are not required at this time. Express bus information is also required for those transfer students who plan on using the express bus service next year. Applicattions for rising 6th graders may be turned in to the school counselor at the student's elementary school. All necessary forms (except transfer forms) may be downloaded from the department files section at the bottom of this page. ![]() College for Kids Recent GraduatesMs. Boddie attended graduation ceremony for three students who attend Godwin, Mahogany Jefferies, Mark Johns, and Michael Omonkhomon who received a certificate for attending College for Kids, which celebrated ten years of serving students from 9-12 in Prince William County. Classes were held on Saturdays for nine weeks from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Northern Virginia Community College Woodbridge Campus. During the sessions, the students were taught leadership skills, life skills, terms they need to be familiar with when applying for college, and met various professionals, a marine biologist, a cardiologist, educators, a leadership coach, a CEO of a major contracting firm, and an attorney to name a few. The program is sponsored by the National Congress of Black Women, Inc. Prince William Chapter. The local director is Ms. Marilyn Blakely who was assisted by co directors, Mr. Stephen Blakely and Ms. Gloria Yarborough. ![]() IBMYP Educational TeamI am looking for one or two parents who would be interested in serving on the MYP Educational Team for the 2009-10 school year. We will meet 4-5 times this year after school from 3-4. The next meeting is Jan 13 from 3-4 in the library. Your students are also encouraged to attend. IBMYP Parent Workshops 2009/10There will be three IBMYP Parent Workshops this school year. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend on the following dates:
